Chess on an Airship

This project, I thought I could finish in less than a month and was inspired by my intense want for a very SPECIFIC Chinese chess set. I've seen many a knockoff but...alas. No luck.

In which case I set out to make my own chess set. But what style? It was Halloween and I had an idea for a Steampunk costume (which I never carried out) and thus this was born. It's kind of a work in progress because there are pieces and adornments I want to add still. It's not nearly Victorian enough though. It has two drawers to store the pieces as well.

And as a side note, those skeleton keys were allegedly recovered from a sunken ship and they still have their original patina.
